Mount
Kilimanjaro

Mount trekking -list
The right packing strategy is your first step toward a comfortable, safe, and successful summit of Uhuru Peak. As trekkers ascend, weather and environmental conditions shift abruptly—from hot, humid forest floors to freezing, wind-battered glaciers at the peak. Temperatures may swing from tropical 27°C (80°F) days at lower elevations to below -20°C (-4°F or colder with wind-chill) on the higher slopes and at the summit. This diversity of conditions makes layering essential and non-negotiable for both comfort and safety.
While weight discipline is paramount, and every item must justify its place in your kit, our porter will carry your heavy items (up to 15 kg or 33 lbs per trekker), while you only carry a lighter daypack (usually 5–7 kg, or 10–15 lbs) with ready essentials for each day.
Grafton Safari clients can rest assured that with this research backed kit list, they are prepared for whatever Kilimanjaro may offer. Safe trekking!
